Quarry Park/Waughtown Connector Greenway

This project will create a park around the former Vulcan Quarry off Reynolds Park Road. The park will include overlooks, an observation pier, bathrooms, green space, and natural auditorium and stage, parking lots and an entrance road. The project also includes construction of the Waughtown Greenway connector, which will pass through the new park and connect the Waughtown area to the Peachtree Greenway, providing access to Reynolds Park and the William R. Benton aquatic project

PENDING FY 15-16 BOND STREET PROJECTS

Concrete Base Street Rehabilitation

The city has many streets that were built with concrete with substandard curbs and gutters. Subsequent resurfacing with asphalt has left inadequate gutter to drain stormwater, and the thin layer of asphalt is constantly breaking and popping off. This project will rehab 11 segments of five streets with a one-time fix for a minimum of 15 to 20 years. These repairs will be bid as one project.
