Community Appearance Commission - May 22, 2018

The 2018 Community Appearance Awards Program will be held Wednesday, May 30, in the James A. Gray Auditorium at the Old Salem Museums & Gardens Visitor Center, 900 Old Salem Road. The program will begin at 4 p.m. with refreshments served at 3:30 p.m.

Ken Bowers, the president of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association and the director of planning for the city of Raleigh, will provide the keynote speech. Prior to joining the city of Raleigh, Bowers was a consultant and principal with the firm of Phillips Preiss Shapiro Associates in New York City.

The Community Appearance Commission sponsors the biennial awards to honor the efforts of businesses, individuals and community groups who have had a positive impact on the appearance of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
