Forum to Explore African-American / Hispanic Relations

At the next "Beyond Soul and Salsa" forum on African-American/Hispanic relations, Winston-Salem Police Chief Scott Cunningham and Forsyth County Sheriff Bill Schatzman will discuss section 287(g) of the federal law that allows local law enforcement agencies to enforce immigration law.

The forum will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Gateway YWCA, 1300 S. Main St., Winston-Salem.

The city’s neighborhood stabilization program, tax myths, and the results of a survey of Hispanic residents also will be discussed.
