Office of the Mayor - December 1, 2017

Mayor Allen Joines is inviting city residents and downtown workers to City Hall to hear traditional and contemporary holiday music performed by local school choruses during the eighth annual City Hall Holiday Music Series, to be held Dec. 6 - 15. 

This year’s series is being expanded to include seven choral groups, starting with Parkland Magnet High School, Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 11:30 a.m. Also participating this year will be Salem College, Friday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m.; Carver High School, Monday, Dec. 11, at 11:30 a.m.; Glenn High School, Tuesday, Dec. 12, at noon; the UNC School of the Arts Cantata Singers, Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 11:30 a.m.; Reagan High School, Thursday, Dec. 14, at noon; and East Forsyth High School, Friday, Dec. 15, at 11:30 a.m. All will perform in the lobby of City Hall, 101 N. Main St.

Several area church and senior-citizen groups are scheduled to attend, as well as students at The Enrichment Center, Petree and Downtown elementary schools and Philo-Hill Magnet Academy.
