The public is welcome to attend the ceremony inside the Benton Convention Center for Forsyth County native and 2019 Miss America Nia Franklin at the conclusion of the parade in her honor on Saturday.

The parade will start at 3 p.m. at Fifth Street and Patterson Avenue and proceed west on Fifth Street. It will end between Cherry and Marshall streets in front of the Benton Convention Center. Parade goers along the route will receive miniature American flags to wave as Miss America passes, and, while supplies last, girls will receive dress up "tiaras" to put in their hair.

The parade will include other scholarship pageant title holders from the region, including Miss South Carolina, Davia Bunch; Miss Capital City, Camille Bridges; and Miss Johnston County, Abby Britt.
